The Coopers Brewery has been family owned and operated since 1862, when Thomas Cooper set up shop in his home and started brewing beer for his neighbors. So, to say that Tim and Glenn Cooper's roots run deep in South Australia would be a bit of an understatement. Nothing shows this commitment to community more than the 2002 unveiling of the new state-of-the-art Coopers Brewery.
Where do we start? The in-house desalination plant, so that the brewery doesn't have to pull from precious local fresh water supplies? The energy recapturing brewkettles? The on-site co-generation facility that not only uses cleaner burning, locally sourced natural gas, but also recycles energy within the brewery and is a net exporter of energy back onto the local grid?
