About Coopers

Today is officially March Madness Eve.  As folks try to shake off that St. Patty’s day hangover, most will achieve normalcy just in time for the opening round of the tournament.  Here at MakeBeer.net, we’re always looking for a reason to give out crazy deals, so true to form we’re offering 15% off on all our Coopers products.  Simply enter the promotion code ‘MADNESS’ and 15% will be auto-magically deducted from your purchase upon checkout.  A great time to stock up on fermentables that you know you will use!

Hopefully you already have a nice beer at the ready to get you through the tournament.  It looks to be wide open this year.  I don’t see a repeat of last year where each number 1 seed made it to the final four, but which number 1 will fall?  The popular pick, and odds favorite, to win it all is UNC.  As a UNC fan, I’m loving there chances, but with 4 losses under there belt they’ve shown they’re just as vulnerable as the next team.  Though, as long as they have a healthy Lawson and Hansbrough, they’re going to be handful for anyone in the tournament.

Being from the northwest, I was ready to put Gonzaga deep into the tournament, but of course they’re in the south with UNC.  Sorry Zags, I have you falling in the sweet 16…again.  Another interesting showdown has to be Memphis and Uconn.  Memphis will have a chip on there shoulder from not being a 1, and when/if they play the team that took there 1 seed, they’ll be looking to make a point.  As if they need additional incentive.

I could go on and on about the brackets this year, but do I really know what I’m talking about?  The only thing I can truly guarantee is that this will be a great tournament, and when my bracket is busted, I will have plenty of great tasting Coopers to help drown my sorrows.

And on a lighter note, heres a little spring inspiration....

Spring is about to show its face, at least in some places…  The birds are chirping, the trees are budding and who knows maybe the economy may just start “stabilizing.”  These are all signs that it is time to get out there and get dirty.  Rake up the leaves left over from last fall, power wash the decks, get the barbecue and outdoor furniture out there and get ready for the long hot days of summer. Then at the end of the day when the sun is setting, there is nothing more satisfying than the taste of a nice refreshing cold beer to take it all in. Then it hits you, not only did you create the perfect little piece of outdoor heaven, but also that cool thirst-quenching lager sitting in your hand.
